A variety of 2 dimensional work from 11 to 14 year olds'.

Year 9 drawing

This project involved a development in colour from an ordinary still-life subject into painting having studied the fauvist approach to colour. This piece was drawn onto dark blue paper (Canford card). Coloured pencil often works best in my view- with a coloured ground.

Year 9 painting

Differing media are explored to discover their unique characteristics. Here a rather low-grade paint was used onto prepared paper to good effect. The ground is also very important in painting. |
