The flight characteristics have changed dramatically with this new patch. AI pilots have the same flight model as you, which means an end to impossible manouvers that they used to get away with. The whole effect is far more "wobbly" now which takes some getting used to. It's fine if you are very careful and very sensitive with the joystick. I can't help thinking that planes should be less vague at higher speeds though. Ubisoft have said that this patch is a beta-test for the game under development-Battle Of Britain. My guess is that they will moderate the pitch & yaw drift before that title is released. It just needs a bit more damping at higher speeds in my opinion, but then I have only flown a plane once on a trial flight.
Mostly with the NVidia Geforce 6800, and enhanced by PF version 4.0 which adds a very different flight model as well as much improved clouds.
Ubi released a new patch to update PF 4.0, now it's version 4.04m which fixes most of the problems that I was grumbling about. Fixed is the underdamping on all axes of the flight model. Below is a quote from the 4.04 readme.
