Here at last- after many years of waiting is a game to supercede EAW.
It has the right blend of accuracy, stability and various qualities that result in a feeling of "immersion".

escort Il2T Escort torpedo bombers striking German shipping in harbour  
26/11-02Sevastopol ru player in MiG-3, CAP over Sevastopol. Some relatively unknown aircraft make an appearance in this mission. Good luck with it, I have not yet made it back to base ;-)  
See the link below - but this is a utility that writes missions automaticaly,arranges them into a campaign and saves it to the correct folder in the game. So if you have finished the built in missions, get this- it's free as well.The mission generator has built in filters to ensure they are historically accurate, with the correct lane types & versions, the correct squadron markings and its all very convincing. My first impression is that it's excellent! Don't go uploading campaigns to your site unless you have edited it, they'll need a certain something extra, the elemant of surprise, personalised info from each previous mission or somethihg to tease the player concerning pending events.
